Hey guys,

Having severe impulse buy issues with this ebay 400 - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

Seller seems genuine enough and has answered all my questions but hasn't had the car long and I'm sure I can see a PH badge on the rear of the car smile Not sure there are many with no boot spoiler either are there? Carpets have had their day apparently and the car seems to be sat a little high? Just trying some last minute sleuthing...

Was advertised on here a while back. There's an article on the previous owners profile on here somewhere telling the story of the engine re build. Can't remember who it was. scratchchin Good quality re build as I remember by this chap.......

Can't tell you any more than that as I haven't seen it in the flesh.

Looks lovely, and all the right stuff done.

Still needs properly looking at though, as a lot can happen to a car even in 15,000 miles.

I believe £7,500 was supposedly spent on the car when it was overhauled. eek

Definitely worth going to see, and probably worth over £6,000 if sound. smile

Eta: Sitting high is better than sitting low (shagged suspension ?). It probably has adjustable springseats anyway, so can be lowered to suit.

I was considering this one before I bought the one I've just got, but missed the bidding. Spoke to the guy after the end of auction but couldn't get to see it before another interested party. Thought it had been sold. I didn't get the impression he knew an awful lot about the car. Couldn't nail him down on much. Looks nice though. Worth a look though as I'm pretty sure he doesn't want a lot of money for it, definitely sub £5000 from memory. Can't be more definite on price, looked at too many!!

Looks like it's been through at least 2 owners since then Andy. Looking at the work you had done it seems someone did indeed get a bargain. Bugger.

Sold it to a guy called Andy Duck, from memory. Nice chap. Think he lived down near Daventry or similar. He offered the car back to me in April as he needed the space.
Whoever got it got a massive bargain. That is one seriously quick, well sorted 400se (or it was)
