Hi all, the final Goodwood Breakfast Club meeting of the year is next Sunday (6th Dec)- always a good morning out. At least two wedge owners are planning to go (mikesp and myself) and it would be good to get some more along to create a small wedge gathering. I know the weather will likely be ccensoredp but it is probably the last chance to get our cars out for an event until the spring.

Looking forward to meeting any of you that can get along, anyone interested?

Hi there!

Sounds good and i am planning to come to this although is a little weather dependant due to the fact that where i have recently moved to is a dirt track and a bit flooded at the moment!

If the weathers good i'll probably be there with my dad in his Ultima, probably a mate in his 348 and another in a 911 turbo. Weather is a little depandant though - lets hope for cold and crisp!!

Plan now is to arrive 10:30 ish. A bit late but this should mean the rain will have stopped if the BBC can be trusted.

i ve promised myself much further outings next year (xmas present)
Hopefully you will have a great time regardless of the weather, I 've promised my lad we will go sailing tomorrow and with that much water involved it does not matter about the rain.
let us know how the day went, with some pic's
cheers
Stephen

We left a bit later than originally planned so as not to test my cars waterproofness, putting faith in the BBC weather that we would then be behind the worst of it. Glad we did as we encountered a few 'lakes' on the way there. (Keep the revs up and keep-moving-type deep on one of them).

Blackwedge has been before but this was my first time (not had anything interesting enough to take ther before!). Apparently this one was rather quiet probably cos of the weather and time of year. A lot of the time the meets are 'themed', vintage days, soft top days, supercar days etc. This one was Xmas I think, so just about anything interesting on display. We got parked round the back of the pits and the Wedges definitely attracted a few interested viewers. So I think that sums it up. Excuse to drive the Wedge, look around, poke your nose in other peoples cars, look at most you can't afford without a Saturday night win on the lottery, eat and drink and drive the Wedge home.

Sounds like a good enough reason to visit Goodwood to me. Nice to see even more Wedges next time maybe.

By the way the Chim owner who parked next to us didn't even attempt an acknowledgement. Sad.

Ooo..... I very nearly thought of a reply to that, but life's too short at the top and sides anyway.

Fair play to you guys going to a Breakfast meet in DECEMBER!! Have been to 3 or 4 breakfast meets - remember my first as I took the SEAC (and got there without hitting any wildlife). Met up with 5 or 6 other wedges (including Matt who was late!) at Petersfield maccie D's then a short blast to Goodwood - blistering hot day and some achingly-beautiful cars on show (was the "British Sporstcar Meet") including D-types, the biggest collection of TVR Cerbies i've ever seen and one stonkingly clean Lotus Calton. Could have spent 2-3 hours walking round the different car parks but headed home after hour or so as worried about overheating on the M25! What I'm trying to say is I wouldn't use this month's meet as a judge of the numbers/types of cars that go to the breakfast meets.
