Pop up lights ????????????????

Every time i park the old girl up for the winter the lights when i try em after a month or so take about 3 goes of the switch to rise do i need to worry or is it a common fault? They work ok up and down once they have eventually risen. Then the same happens the next month or so i try em.

Most probably the switch contacts inside the car are dirty/oxidised. Remove switch, clean contacts and apply switch cleaning lubricant then re-fit.
