They look the same but for whatever reason it wouldn't turn ' the Uj can only go on one way cos of the flat side on the shaft . I tried moving it up and down on the column but it wouldn't work . I refitted the old one in the same position and it worked straight away! Put the new one back on after marking its position but still locked up on itself !

Is it going on the spline far enough? the bit I've circled looks like (but could be wrong) the groove the bolt should go through?
Talking of bolts, it looks a little short, doesn't look to be sticking out beyond the nylok nut?

What Mike saidTalking of bolts, it looks a little short, doesn't look to be sticking out beyond the nylok nut?
The bolt should fit in the groove at the lower connection for memory when I did mine. The triangular shaft at the top on mine only protrudes a few MM. Not sure it will change the angle but will move the whole thing 10mm lower at a guess?

It looks like the flat part of the top shaft sits in the facing side of the old one in the pic.............
one side of the triangular shaft has to go flat to the clamp, same position on both UJ's as they are pictured?I think Wedgewood may have sussed it, bolt hitting chassis because it's too far up?
