Hi Gents

I Hope everybody had a good xmas and a happy new year. Over the next winter month i am going to do a complete fluid change on my 280 wedge and i am after a bit of advice on the oil for the type 9 gearbox, i know that it has to be a 75/90 semi synthetic. But the only make i can seem to find down here where i live is COMMA 75/90 semi synthetic GL4 has any body used this before ? is it ok or are there any better quality oils, i know back from the days when i had a kit car with the T9 box they are a bit troublesome if you use the wrong oil

Regards
Rob

That'll be fine, I've been using it for years smile

Don't be tempted (or persuaded) to use a fully synthetic, brass baulk rings used in type 9 don't like it.

Back when that was a modern/current gearbox I believe Ford recommended ATF fluid was used if customer complained of gear selection difficulties when gearbox was cold?

Mobil 1 and molyslip in my 350i, as recommended by Mr Quantrill. Works a treat.
