R380 gearbox in a Wedge?

So I made a little ebay purrchase of a Sherpa gearbox and picked it up today.

It's the R380 and has the output flange for RWD (as opposed to the LR version).

My cunning plan is to fit the LT77 remote shift, bellhousing etc, and measure it up, then it will be my nest stand-in spare if it looks like it will fit.

Yes, reverse will be in a different place. But hopefully this will be stronger than the old LT77's.

Do you mean Chimps and Griefs? No they had a T5 after the LT77.
