We're planning a run out to Southwold tomorrow - where's good for lunch? Nothing too pretentious, please, just good, decent food! Thanks in advance

Why not try The Pier? Fantastic setting and with the predicted poor weather you'll think your dining
on a ship. Loads of easy parking too!

A bit late - but I'd recommend The Swan.

Yes, saw this too late. Oh well, for next time, I've never had a bad meal in The Crown - took my mother there for her birthday recently and had a very good meal. Perhaps a touch stuffy though. The Admiral Nelson's quite a decent pub.

Alternatively pop across the river to The Anchor in Walberswick - tis pretty decent, if a touch gastro-pub.

Where did you go in the end and what did you think?
