Hello, so as the title says, I'm looking for a recommendation for a good BMW specialist in the south east. If anybody has any suggestions that would be much appreciated. Many thanks

http://www.twgautomotive.co.uk/ in Camberley.

BMW trained, straightforward, no nonsense, sensible prices. Long wait list as they are so busy but highly recommended.

I've only recently started using these guys but impressions are good - I like a garage where they invite you to come and wander around the workshop and look under the car whilst it's in the air.

Westech between Basingstoke and Kingsclere on the A339. Used them a couple of times and they have been great.

I’ve used Barkers Motor Works in Haslemere (Richard there is ex-BMW UK), Munich Motors in Wokingham and Grosvenor in Reading. All have looked after my M3 well.

Thank you so much everyone for your replies, lots of good suggestions here. TWG in Camberley is closest (still around 30 mins away) so I think I'll go for them.

But regarding Munich Motors, I've been to them before and I'm surprised anybody would recommend them. My experience was that they were a combination of completely rushed, totally bone idle, and with no diagnostic ability whatsoever. So basically the worst combination of everything, and the receptionist had a real attitude problem to complete the package.

Used both TWG and Grovesnor and had great experiences.

Knowledgeable guys and always willing to go the extra mile.

I've been using TWG Automotive in Camberley for mine for over 4 years now - they've been great.

But my sister had her R50 Mini Cooper repaired at BMS in Leatherhead and was pleased with them - and other BMW owners seem positive too.

Another vote for TWG, used when I had a Z4MR, great service and very very thorough Insp 2.

Funny you should say that, me and a colleague have used them with no issues, another colleague had some diagnostic problems with them and hates them. All down to your personal experience, I guess. I've not been for a couple of years as I no longer work that way, but I always got along with the ,ahem, 'more mature lady' receptionist, but then again I used to turn up with my road bike on the bike rack for a 5 mile journey to work after ... perhaps my MAMIL look at 8:30am did it for her! smile

ANOTHER vote for TWG, not the closest to me by some margin (Twickenham area) but great, attentive and reasonably priced service plus bookable courtesy Mini for a small charge. Ask for Will.

I’ve gone over to the dark side (E350) now, but would not hesitate to recommend TWG to anyone.

+1.

Just sold my 130i, two days ago, but I always took it to TGW and was very happy. Found them very honest.
