Look out for stolen high performance cars

Police are appealing for the public to be on the alert for two stolen high value performance cars which may have been parked up locally by the thieves.
The black Porsche Carrera 911 and the Blue BMW 325 were taken from Bagshot Road, Ascot, between 10.30 and 11.35pm on Monday night.
Thieves jemmied the rear conservatory door of the property open, stole keys and took the two cars from the locked garage.
Police belive that after stealing such cars, the thieves will often park them up somewhere for between 24 and 36 hours to see if a Tracker security system, which emits a signal that police can trace in the event of it being stolen, is emitted.
Police have asked the public to look around their roads to see if either of the cars are parked there, the registration number of the Porsche is V1 DSV while the registration of the BMW is LN 08 RFZ.
Anyone who has seen either or both of the cars should call police on 08458 505 505, quoting URN 482 of October 13.

Got to admit, that having a GTR on order is kind of scary from this perspective...
You work really really hard for a long long time to buy a nice car and then some scrote not only steals it for jollies, but invades the privacy of your own home to do it...
If you rob a bank and steal 20k then you get 10-20 years in prison... but you steal a car worth 20k and write it off then you get a slap on the wrist and asked not to do it again - probably with an increase in your benefits to deal with the stress!

Sounds as though you need a guard to look after the car. I could make myself available and do it for my special rate of £10k per week! On a serious note though, you're absolutely right about owning anything decent. It's a very sad state of affairs when you are made to constantly worry about anything you've worked hard for being damaged/stolen.
We came home from Holiday two weeks ago to find we had been broken into on the day of our return. Only thing taken from the house were the keys to the A3 and car itself. These thieving bar-stewards simply smashed the window in our front room and yanked the frame till it broke. Bare in mind we live on a main road and this was in broad daylight!
Car has been recovered and is with Scene of Crime/forensics police currently

"Keep all downstairs windows shut and locked if possible, and only keep windows open upstairs if there is no easy access to them via garage roofs and flat roofs."
I guess Health & Safety means that thieves can't use ladders these days?

Debating whether or not to put our names down..... but 2010 is a long time to wait, by that time we could have saved enough to buy a really nice car (or a TVR that works 
) They have fitted a 'hyjack alarm' to the car, you press the button and the alarm beeps after a few seconds, then again, then the engine starts stuttering, and the alarm goes off fully.
Tis located in a spot no-one would actually notice you press it
Turn it on when you leave it, and off when you get back in.
Get jacked, just press it, they won't get far in a car that keeps stalling
