Is this wheel too far gone?

Advice needed:

I bought some 5.5J steels for my 105e Anglia a while ago and just got round to having them blasted and primed.

Is it too far gone to have a tire on it? If so, how would one repair it if possible at all?

Fill the pitting with chemical metal and have your tyre fitter chuck some sealant on the rim before fitting the tyres?
