Ford fiesta mk7 1.6tdci high pressure fuel pump code P0251

Has anyone come across this fault on a fiesta mk7 1.6tdci showing low fuel pressure, on the snap diagnostics comes up with code P0251 injector pump fuel metering control A malfunction before we condemn the pump. Engine turns over briefly then dies showing typical fuel starvation, changed the fuel filter & dropped the tank & cleaned out as was loads of debris/water contamination. Theres no more codes in the ecu ?!!!🤔
