REPROGRAMMING NEW FOCUS KEY with only 1 Original

Friend son lost her key, ford quoted arm and a leg for a replacement plus £50 labour to reprogramme it.
Bought new replacement of ebay, but cant reprogramme it to start the car.

HELP anyone know how to do it with a single key. ( blue dot)

Hi, unfortunatly I think you need 2 coded keys to programme another one that can start the car.

Ford can do the programming for you but check out your local locksmith/security shops first. Some of them have the equipment to read immobilisers, and may be able to help at a lower cost.

Thats the conclusion I had come to having trawled the internet, just thoght some geek out there may have come up with a cheat?

Ah, but if there was an easy way around it, someone could 'borrow' you key at any point, copy it then nick your car at their leisure and you'd have no idea how.
