Yes you can do, a few people on ZSOC have done the "transplant". Best bet is to go to a scrapyard or find out who is breaking a zs.

But personally i don't see the point. You might as well just save up and and buy a zetec s, they are fairly cheap now and its best to have the whole package, a zetec s is completely different to a normal fiesta. It may also be financially easier ( unless you are aiming to do the work yourself), just thinking about the trouble of buying the zetec se engine, fitting it, wiring loom ( might be different), if your car is a different colour to the 4 zetec s colours, getting the body kit sprayed up.

Just food for thoughtsmile

Best to look on the internet for your nearest breakers give them a call and ask them if they are breaking any zetec s'

The bumpers bolt straight on as a direct replace ask them the price before removing there are two breakers near me one wanted £10 for a bumper the other £75

just make sure the fog lights etc are not cracked as these can be £30 a piece to buy on their own

Front bumper has to be modified as the lights area different shape, engine fits straight in and wiring loom is the same, might need the ECU and key though.

There isn't anywhere local that specialises in breaking zetec s', ebay or the classifieds is your best bet, or get yourself on www.zsoc.com and keep an eye in the for sale section, although zetec s bodykits can be quite hard to come by.

hiya
thanks for your help
and as a reply to the first post i dont want to buy a zetec s because there are loads of them but i dont tend to see many modified mk4's in my area so i want to modify mine so that i can be a first in my area. The reason i want to add zetec parts is because there is no sport model of the mk4 so i thought it would be easier to fit parts from the mk5 to my car instead of the mk3.

Also seeing as someone said they knew a breaker that was selling the bumper for £10 and one that was selling them for £75, can you please tell me where these breakers are and there contact details please ??
thanks

expensive one is brentwood autos in mountnessing and the other one is just by lakeside thurrock but i dont have their contact numbers you can find them on yell.com.

as previously said try ebay if you cant locate the bumpers look at pepople that are breaking complete cars you can also search people that are nearest to you in the options.

Other than the bumpers dont think there is alot of other parts that can be swapped across spoiler can be as boots are the same i personally have seen a couple of mk4s with the zetec s bumpers on that look really smart

I was only thinking of using the zetec bodykit and wheels for the body as i think if you add anything else then it will start looking OTT . With regards to engine parts im not so sure about a whole engine swap but i might just use some of the zetec's part as a cheaper upgrade for my mk4
thanks for your help

If your upgrading your MK4 then I recomend Polyurethane bushes. Tightens up the granded handling loads, road noise is slightly higher and they'll cost £300 fitted. I had mine doen as the factory bushes were breaking out so thought might as well.

Platinum plugs, twice as expensive as normal ones but give a cleaner burn. Poly bushes, K57i run it on optimax.

Just google them but expect to have urine extracted if you talk about it. They're just the easy cheap mods that you do have to declare on insurance.

Sad but they#re only little cars so you can get that extra 4-5 BHP & throatier sound. Don't bother with a drainpipe exhaust it'll fk the compression.

sometimes just the little things really make a car look smart

painting the brake calipers
removing the old badges
colour coding the handles and wing mirrors
really light smoke window tint that is only just noticable

those are the sort of things i would go for makes it look smart without being chavvy i personally wouldnt go for lexus lights.

Post up some pictures of your car as it is at the moment

hiya
ok thanks for theadvice on what to do for engine mods. I will follow your adviceand buy these parts but in a few months im going to be swapping in my 1.25 for the 1600 Zetec S engine !!
Thank you also for help with regards to the body. But i think i will just smooth the bodywork and then add some wide wheels so if anyone has any suggestions of some wide alloys that will suit the mk4 for a cheap price then once again im all ears !!
I was looking at some Escort Cosworth / Escort GTI / Mondeo wheels so if you know where i can get any cheap then can you please let me know !! The condition doesnt matter to me because i canrefurbish them myself as long as they are not buckled !!
thanks

I'm not into visual changes to my car like you are and have left mine looking standard. I do however think that the BBS rally type wheels could look good you know the spokey ones. If your Festa is dark then white wheels could look smart.

Like your idea of keeping the looks stock and making a sleeper i had that idea too ! Im only going to make some subtle changes to the looks of the car as my money is going to be spent on making the car go faster !!
By the way the car is red !
I was thinking of getting one of these front bumpers so that i could add a couple of cold air feeds through where the fog lamps are :
Here is a pic of the bumper :
http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://im...redfacefficial%26sa%3DN
If you know where i can get one cheap please let me know and the condition of the fog lamps doesnt matter because id probably sell them anyway !!
Apart from that i was just thinking of lowering the car by about 70 - 100 mm so its sitting really low and then i was going to get some zetec s alloys from www.zsoc.com and get them sprayed in anthracite.
thanks
