Is there such a thing as a 1984 Cosworth, 3 door. The ones for sale all seem to be 1986 on...

I thought they were made in `84?

I take it you are enquiring about the Sierra RS Cosworth? Definitely NOT the early press cars were registared in December 1985, 10 in total i believe, the first customer cars from early 86 till spring 87, RS500 from August 87 (E reg) for customer cars, June/July (D reg) for press and promo cars

Probley a reshell mate, people use early shells however this would not be classed as a genuine cosworth but a replica. These cars normaly sell for around 40-65% of the price of an equivilant condition and spec genuine car. So it all depends what people want as you can have all the looks and performance of a cosworth for half the price and i've been told this makes them cheaper to insure to.
