Not a clue but I would personally pay a little bit more than the equivalent hatch as the saloon is pretty rare and I have never seen another diesel one.

Thanks.

Will have a look around auto trader now and see what sort of prices they are going for.

As for the saloon (obviously biased) but I think they look a bit nicer that the hatch just a personal opinion and stying is subjective.

Having said that not sure it alters the price I bet if I went to part exchange it a dealer would suck his teeth and say" but its not as practical for the mrs to go shopping"smile the story would be reveresd for whoever went to buy it from them id bet.

dman credit crunch prices seem to start at just under 5k for high milage hatches.

Think I'll stick it in the trader for 5.2k ish

There was an ST220 saloon in that colour in the clasifieds, i see it is now sold, IIRC was up for £5.9K(had lots of factory options-if it had been a hatch i would have been tempted to get another). Saloons are apparently worth less as not as practical! (i prefer mine as well smile )

Any factory options..?

Facelift car, so should be easier to sell.

ETA - at 5.2k yours seems cheap next to this... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/757412.htm

Dunno. They still pull 45mpg, so despite the slightly higher cost of derv, I think they're still pretty desirable.

Is the '54 a Euro 3 or Euro 4 engine..?

Thanks guys.

I'll get off my arse give it a good clean and polish and stick it in autotrader next week I think.
I would like to keep it , can't think of anything else I would get as well specked or as nice to drive.
As its my car but an opt out company car and they give me cash for running it my boss says we need to have cars below a certain age. I do notice however he still has his 04 plate smile so I may not rush.

The car market is really complicated at the moment. Prises seem to be all over the place hence the question. Thanks for your input.

i hvae been looking at these for myself and they are selling if priced right
saloon is better looking but less practical
i rang a trader about a grey hatch this week simular milage as yours but it needs a wheel refurb and has a key scratch on the drivers door and a scuff on the front bumper
that is up for 5295-00 but you would need to spend a few quid on it to get it up to scratch

Wheels are a common problem... they corrode quite quickly irked

Good m8, you? Did you hear about the woes? New head after 1400 miles! Oh, and they managed to dent the door which thankfully came out using PDR. Still got the FST? Fancy the RS??!!

Yes because they are just lackered alloy. corrosion the alloy creeps around even if not curbed which is a bit poor really.

I had mine powder coated a few months ago when they started to corrode.

edited yes I know you all know about the issue just sayign like smile

Aprrox £200. from a recomendation on here. I liked the original wheels but could not live with that corrosion

I then painted and lackered the centeres to match. They never matched the original finish anyway so I'm not sure why I bothered
