If so I think you'd need to be doing epic mileage to justify the cost over the 1.6 TiVCT petrol model which is faster, pretty economical and, as I understand it, a whole lot more fun.
listen out for any chuffing noises from the top of the engine. The injectors blow past the seats - very common , but then it will be undre warranty anyway.
I do 50 / 60k a year, urrently running a ST focus ( company car ) but fed up getting caned by the taxman so wanted to downsize a little save some spondoolies
I have one and it has been very reliable and generally good. I do roughly 20,000 miles a year. If I was looking for a 50,000 miles + car I would be looking at a diesel Mondeo or Focus if it had to be a ford though.
