Fiesta ST

Hello people.
Does anyone know how to release the piston on the rear brake of a 54 plate fiesta ST, do you have to buy a tool to turn the star in the centre of the piston?

We have bought a tool which goes into the star on the piston, it turned and went back but then stopped and wont go back any further, is there something else to release?

You haven't left the handbrake on, have you?

No, we have given it a s**t load of elbow grease and a push and it has gone back. Thanks for reply
