PUTTING IT BACK ON THE ROAD

My fiesta xr2i had been off the road since august last year any tips on what i shoudl check or do before putting it back on the road??

has been started and moved at least every couple of weeks to keep everything moving

was serviced before coming off the road last year

Also need to take it easy on the brakes as they have some surface rust

any tips greatly appreciated

Shouldnt be too bad, just remember not to start it with the clutch in if it's not moved in a while. Wouldnt be long enough to cause fuel problems from experience, I started up a car that hadnt run for a couple of years just off the key with jump leads as it needed a fair amount of cranking to get it to fire.

Leak check incase any hoses are going, run up to temperature to check the fan kicks in and a couple of trips around the block to see what the brakes are like
