Mk4 mondeo pulls to the left

My dad has a 57 plate, 1.8tdci zetec, its done 41k.

It has an issue where it will pull to the left if you let go of the steering, it pulls to the left under any form of driving so you adopt a style of pulling slightly to the right to counter balance it. We have had the tracking checked and reset. New front tyres fitted and balanced but it remains. A garage checked out all the steering and suspension and they are undamaged.

Dad is taking it back to the dealer to get it checked out, what do you think could be causing this.
Afaik it has not been in an accident and the wheels havent been kerbed.

take it to another garage to have the alignment checked. A certain famous Ford garage checked mine several times, and convinced me to change my suspension bushings which did not solve the problem.

10 mins in the hands of an indie garage had the thing driving in a straight line again.

Just a quick Question what was the problem found by the garage who fixed this?
