Ford Focus ST170 - Oil Pressure rising when accelerating
Discussion
Hello,
I recently bought a '53 ST170, really enjoying the car, especially as it's my first car! However I've noticed that when I'm accelerating, the oil pressure rises. I've checked the oil and it looks fine, it did however have very little coolant when I got it (now topped up). My concern is this could be the signs of something quite major, anyone else encountered this and got any advice?
I'm also keen to find somewhere to take my ST170 to get serviced near Portsmouth, any recommendations?
Cheers!!

Worth remembering that the ST170 oil pressure and temperature gauges are just faked by the ECU! Anywhere should be able to service your vehicle, just make sure they use a good quality 5w-30 oil. Also worth noting the spark plugs are unique to the ST170 (black with white insulators) and only available from ford, don't fit normal 2.0 Zetec ones as the ST170 needs a colder plug due to the compression ratio being higher. Also when was the cambelt done?
