Picked up a 2015 Fiesta for my daughter.

Any idea what this is? Wire comes out the headlining and it has sticky pads on the back.

Older style black box maybe?

My first guess (without any further info) would be some sort of GPS antenna for a tracker/black box.

Does it have a USB port on it? If so it might be a power adapter for a dashcam.

Don't they detect rain by getting wet?

ETA - no they don't! They work through the windscreen. Could be it.

Yep, part of the Sync Assist system. 3m sticky pads can be used to refix it.

When it falls down, people need assistance to know what it is and what to do with it wink

My guess is that the wrong windscreen has been fitted to the car. It needed one with a bracket to hold the module in question.

Interesting. It’s now stuck back on looks like it’s been stuck several times going by the amount of bits I had to peel off!

Now to sort all the other issues!

It's been a while. The difference (I think) is in the silkprint. There should be enough of an opaque black area to hide it from view (from the outside). When the wrong screen is fitted, ie, with just the dotted/shaded area (which is to shield glare when looking at the rvm) they fitter might stuff the module behind the headlining. You may even have the right screen in there in which case it's fallen off.
