Does anyone know where I can buy a self-adhesive (sticker-style) front plate? Craigsplates don't seem to supply them anymore.

You can get one from here. I have previously used them with no issues.

Are they still reflective and road legal?

The ones from the link I posted are reflective. They meet the number plate design specification so I can't see why they wouldn't be legal.

The regulation BS AU 145d says acrylic 3.2mm thick so a vinyl stick on is not legal.
Having said that I've had one on one of my cars for many years without issue. If you keep the font and spacing correct they will likely leave you alone.

I'd like to use one of these on my Elise, but may change the reg later, how easy are they to remove? Is it likely to cause any paint damage?
Thanks

no problem to remove just heat up gently with a hair dryer and peel off carefully and excess glue left behind can be removed with a glue remover or I think thinners does it.
