Tvr car bubble

Hi all

New chimeara owner here. Have an outdoor car bubble from car bubble uk until can sort out garage situation which will likely be another year. Im actually quite impressed as there is a decent distance around the sides of the car and seems to withhold the wind well (as well as rain). Problem is I have to very carefully pull the cover over before inflating and after deflating at the moment after cleaning etc as I don’t want any scratches. Are you aware of anyone who has a similar setup - I’m thinking of getting some form of indoor cover as an extra layer of protection - any ideas? Thanks

I have a similar setup as only have carport for summer so put it into an Outdoor Carcoon over the worst of the winter, I’d be careful with any sort of cover personally. The idea around the carcoon is to keep a level of airflow over the car to stop any condensation forming, not sure what the effect would be if you pop a cover on the car. It’s a reasonably good environment inside the carcoon but certainly not a garage.

I just take care with the carcoon material and try and pull it over and onto the roof and make sure the car is clean when put away

These are worth considering.
Frame and material are very strong.
I have been using one for 2 years.

I don't think it says in the instructions, but a plastic tube will fit though the bottom sleeve of the front and rear fabric sections. A rope through those tubes, then you can better secure the front and rear fabric in windy conditions.

Choose the appropriate size and you will have plenty of room around your car.

My car has to live outside so has a cover. To prevent any chafing to the paintwork I bought a couple of big fleece blankets from eBay (about £15), lie them over the bonnet and boot, then place the folded-up cover on the roof and unfold it.

That is a disappointing situation John.
If you return from a drive when the car is dirty, whatever a car is covered with has a risk of creating scratches.

Do you have any space for the portable garage that I mentioned above?
Not the prettiest of structures, but I was able to position mine in a corner of the garden, so it is not visible to anyone on the road.

I was amused by the seller's description of, 'Instant Garage'. Instant in my case gave a new meaning to the word - 3 days. To be fair though, assembling another one would be far quicker.

Then take it off once the bubble is fully inflated or it’s off. I can get into the bubble before it deflates anyway . But of a faff but that doesn’t bother me! Oh and will
Give car a quick wash before putting away. Thanks again.
