I am just about to take the plunge into suspension mods, so I am asking all you knowledgable ones that have already done it.

Can anyone supply Part no's and approx prices for replacing Shocks, Springs, and bushes?

I have seen lots of debates about which are best, but I am trying to compile a little list so I can make an informed decision.

So what is it to be? Bilstein, Koni, Avo, any more...

Go on dig out those receipts. It's worth a beer at least.

By the way Its a Chimaera that is going to be updated.

What is your budget?
What/why/where do you want to change? What handling characteristic to you want to cure?
How much is worn already?

Hi shpub,

I have had the car about 5 Years, and haven't even as much as looked at the shocks.

I have a budget just short of a Grand. A couple of other things need doing as well so that will get bumped up.

I'm not looking for a track day/hill climb setup. But the ride has gone a bit too soft for me, and it wallows a bit if you throw it into a corner a bit sudden.

Nitron come in that price bracket, I highly recommend them especially if you're looking for a track setup. Guy may also be able to advise you on spring rates.

I would look at the suspension and make sure you don't need a complete rebushing as that will knock several hundred out of your budget for a start. After that the sky is the limit.
