RV8 plenum

Can anyone tell me if the plenum that TVR use on the RV8 is any different to the Range Rover item. I think the TVR one has a curved top surface, so the front is lower than the middle. I have the RR version on the Tuscan and it is rubbing on the underside of the bonnet, cos it has a flat top, and I don't want to adjust the bonnet anymore. If someone could measure the height of the front edge and let me know I would be most appreciative. Even more so if anyone who has fitted a carbon fibre one and has their old one going spare in exchange for some beer tokens.

Stock plenum in mine is 8cm high at the front 9cm in the middle and 7cm at the rear by the stepper motor, all figures are rough and measured from the gasket up.
I would have thought yours being a bit of a tweeked car is bigger plenum for a reason i.e the trumpets may not fit under the standard plenum cover or it 'chokes' the engine too much .
I'm sure if you speak to Tim at ACT he could probably do you a bespoke one in carbon to fit the bonnet and trumpets, that or he has a stock of ali ones traded in for his carbon ones, give him a ring it can't hurt .
If you have to buy one and I may be wrong here, but I seem to remember that the stock plenum cover comes in at around £100 or so, that said there must be dozens of old rangies etc in the breakers with the right bits on.
It'll be interesting to know what car the bigger 'square' plenum comes off, 4.6 RR maybe or the vitesse rover efi sd1 (or was that carb set up ).

Thanks Harry, been out with car all day, for drive then fiddling in garage, but forgot to measure front height. The one fitted is the standard Range Rover one, still has 'Land Rover' cast into top, another reason to change it, and its black not polished. May give Tim a ring tomorrow.

Tweety , the black one on your car is taller at the front than the TVR type, if you wish i can swap yours for an appropriate one. I've got a shed full of different plenums..
