Broken Tuscan spotted yesterday, Teesside

Purpley Y-reg Tuscan on the Ron Perry transporter headed south down the A19; anyone know it (the car, not the transporter... or the A19.... 
)?
May not have been broken, of course, but if I had a Tuscan I'd tend to want to have it moving under its own steam... not that I'm suggesting TVR use steam propulsion, you understand, merely a figure of speech.
When I say it was a purpley colour, incidentally, you have to remember I'm a northern bloke: there are only five basic colours (six if you include black!). It may have been Starburst Moonbeam or some such, but to me it was bloody purple... or was it a pigment of my imagination?
