Thinking of possibly making the move from my m coupe to a tuscan or cerbera. Just wondered if there are any ex M3/m coupe driver's with either cars or perhaps now own a tvr in general. Would like to hear your opinons if you have done the swop.

Dont' you mean step down!!!!!!

I had a M3 for while, but have had 3 TVRs, I would say prepare yourself for larger bills, lack of reliability, stupid faults. and a MASSIVE GRIN that you do not get from a Beemer.

The speed is noticably quicker in a TVR and because of the low down nature of the car you feel more at one with the car and road.

Had an E30 318iS for five years.

Back used to step out quite regularly.

Now had a Griff for over two years.

Back steps out quite regularly.

No similarity there then

I changed from an M Roadster to a Griff 500. Haven't really got time to type out my views now, but if you e mail me through my profile I'll give you a phone number and feel free to call for a chat if you want.

I used to have a M3 Evo coupe and now have a 1999 4.0 Chim and love it. Best thing I ever did was sell the M3 for the Chim. The sound, the power, the looks.... I could go on but i doubt i need to. Sure there are small niggles with it but thats the price you pay for having a true sports car not an upgraded family car. Go on you know it makes sense (if you use your heart that is!!).

I had a M3 Evo Coupe from new for 3 years and (with a 7 series inbetween) now have 4.2 Cerbera

Very different cars, the M3 was a very easy, smooth drive, loads of power and plenty of fun. I used it as my main car doing all my business miles in it. The TVR is a very different car - much faster and much more fun (especially in the wet! ), gets loads more looks and the sound alone is worth the change!!

Do my business miles in a VW TDi and the rest in the Cerb - best decision I ever made!!

Hope this helps

Well, we went from a 740 to a 4.2 Cerb, does that count ?

Drove an M Coupe - liked it, drove a 964 Carrera 4 - VERY disappointed, tried an Esprit - didn't drive it (couldn't fit in !), drove a Cerbera & it recindled a memory of true love....

If you get a good one, you'll NEVER regret it !
