Anyone going to this event on the Friday 20th June? What is the track day like? Would be first experience in my Chim. Noise limit notice, presumably you have to get a limiter of some description, can anyone help me out on that one? Your thoughts on this event would be great.
Thanks.

Weekend racing is excellent, the best you will find in the SW.

I've been for the last two years and have camped over on both Fri and Sat nights. Karting very competative and highly entertaining. Social is what you make it (just don't try to take on South Wales at drinking)... Humungeous hangovers not helped by close proximity of track to the tents.

Everybody I spoke to was pleased by the track day though noise limits are quite tight. No doubt others will post on their track experiences soon.

I did the track day on 2001. It is still my only track day so I can't comment on how the track compares to others, but at the time I thought it was excellent. My 4.0 Chim passed the noise limit which was 100dB. Registered 98.5 with a standard exhaust. There is no way the Cerbera will pass without some silencers, trip to peninsula I think.

I am sure you will enjoy the day, hoping to be there myself.

Hi P555,

Ray did the whole bit last year, track day, karts and Barby (of the food kind) and really enjoyed it.

You do need the exhaust silencers on a Cerb and he bought his from Demon Tweeks.
They offer a couple of choices.

Plus the fact that the Tuscans are racing that weekend too....what more could one ask!!!!!

See you there...look out for the English/CDL flag and come and say Hi!
