While driving home from seeing Chelsea beating Liverpool at Stanford bridge (YEEEEESSSSSSSS),
I had to drop my mate off in the Old Street area,so i had to drive through the underpass around the Barbican area. Remembering how the car sounds in a tunnel i let rip through. What a sound everyone turned round and one small boy fell over. Much to the anoyance of his mother, For this i am sorry. I dropped my mate off and decided on another sound fix, so off i went only to see this mother with her boy who was waving like mad for me to stop. Fearing a bollocking i stopped a bit sheepishly only to be told that the boy had absolutly loved the car/sound eventhough at first he was shocked by the loud noise, and could i do it again..... Only to pleased to help i cained it this time. That small boy will one day be on this web site telling you all how he first fell in love with TVR's. What a day!!

hmmmm. terrible anti-social behaviour

I gave it some serious loud pedal through the tunnel on the way out of Goodwood on Saturday. My mate behind was videoing and playing it back is hilarious!!

Anyone who doesn't do that should have to hand the car back to the dealer immediately, and have their license endorsed with 9 penalty points

It's the best form of advertising TVR have got, and probably the best product placement.

Shnozz, will WE get to see this vid then?

Well...they should, at least, be reported to the Club and made an example of...

If any local PH'ers know how, I am happy to lend them the tape..

For anyone in the Southampton area (thinking of Shnozz at this point!), one of the best I have found is out of Sainsburys (Hedge End) car park. Scared the sh!t out of some poor unsuspecting bloke in a 'maxxed' Saxo who couldn't get any closer to the back of me on the approach to it

Sure...send me the tape, I'll do a bit of editing and post up on the web...in all its glory with full credit given to cameraman (brave) and driver (cool)

email me for my address,
LB....

PS Will try to put up a small clip of something similar for the noise enthusiasts amongst you.

Nice one mate excelent story.

I'm yet to buy my TVR but i allready have a planned route for my baby once ive purchased it. It involves going through the Culfill Tunnel at Lewes - East Sussex (roof down natrually) so i can hear what ive just spent my money on!

Then a quick blat down the A27 to brighton into brighton marina where there is another tunnel on the entrance to the marina!

When ever im in my car and i see a TVR its Off with the stereo and down with the windows....folllowed by BIG cheesy grin and cold girlfreind.....!

respect to you!

Hey Cutlerp,

Just left a reply on your thread about what Chimaera to get etc and that route you described above is pretty familiar to me as I've been round there myself. I live in Burgess Hill so if you ever see an N reg, Imperial Blue Griff in the area it's probably me!!

In fact you can almost definitely tell its me if there's an annoyed looking blonde in the passenger seat but then the missus does work for the police after all and just doesn't understand...!

P.S. Redced, sounds like the first time I saw a 390se about 13 years ago putting his foot down through the tunnel at Gatwick Airport and that almost made me fall over!!!
