Hi, can any one suggest a company in the Surrey area that could recover the roof panel of my Griff with new mohair fabric. Over the years the mohair has been worn smooth in a couple of places and I would like to get the panel re done to match the otherwise perfect finish of the rest of the hood.

Any suggestions gratefully received, plus if you can suggest a guide price that would also be handy.

Thanks

David

That's the only bit of my Chimaera I don't like. Mohair smooth in a few places due to militant seagull action. I'm interested in getting my roof recovered too (SE London).

AJ Trimming are supposed to be good and they advertise in Sprint Magazine. He is based just off the M40. (01628-530257).
I havent used him myself but he will give you an idea of cost etc.

I have the phone number of a guy in Wheathampstead,Herts who will probably be a lot cheaper and he does the retrim work for the TVR Centre in Barnet.

Unique Trimming are just about to return my roof this afternoon (rear section) so if you do the old TTT thing on this thread I'll remember to reply later today Should be charging about £140...

update: to do the roof section he said £100. was a good job, altho stitching a not 100% straight. good to be able to see through a clear rear window!!! almost looks like there's no window

called AJ Trimming and to replace roof including new foldy bit and perspex with mohair £550. For normal mo (as per standard TVR)£450, which I felt to be a bit expensive.

This is the reply I had from AJ:

The price to re-trim the carbon fibre panel would be around £150.00, and take 1 day. If you would like the whole roof and window replaced along with the carbon panel the cost would be £450.00, and take 2 days.

wotcher Si, still jobhuntin, son is totally peed off at the mo but an imminent fortnight in the US should cheer us all up.

So can anyone beat £550 for a proper mohair hood replacement?
