OK so he owns a Griff and runs it in in Ireland well done for that, but why do you think his input is important to this forum? I have never seen one single post of his that contributes anything of importance - all I see is some quip or an obscure remark which simply takes the thread off at a tangent, and in some cases gets peoples back up. "Harsh but fair" I hope
Ted can you let JIGS back in please, I have spoken to him and he promise's to behave. It was only harmless fun. Jigs is 1 of a small dedicated Griff group in Ireland and his imput is important to us.
Rich...I'll say a couple of things first in support of Ted , he has to respond to complaints, and act accordingly.
in support of Jigs, I know him outside PH forums, he is one of the friendliest guys i know, i didn't read all the threads but on the ones i did see there were a few people having a lark,
I'll vote to give Jigs another chance and he genuinely wants to come back...

Can't say that Jigs ever upset me even tho' we did have a bit of a banter on a couple of threads. Guess some people take PH a bit too seriously at times. I actually had added him to my mates list - but then I like people who are not PC - still mourning the fact that N17TVR is not a regular anymore.
Don't remember reading anything that Jigs said that was offensive. Perhaps someone could point me in the direction of the relevant threads so I can make my own mind up.
I think some of the time it is very difficult to judge the manner in which a post is made. With body language and tone of voice absent it is easy to mistake something that is meant to humorous or a friendly tease as insulting.

Being the token Englishman in the Northern Ireland TVRCC, I have been made very welcome by the natives. Jigs is an active member of the club I have found very helpful and friendly and on that basis I think he should be reinstated, I can’t be expected to do all the missionary work over here, they do need all the contact with civilisation they can get

but criticising flasher was one of the things he did,
it was meant to be a lighter comment
and jigs has been thrown off the forum.

Personnally I keep out of general gassing, tried once in the Tamora forum, but disagreed with the orthodoxy of the Rev Flasher.
I'll go back to the S forum!

I've written to Jigs this morning,and reading the posts he made i dont believe he is a bad person he seems quite funny at times.
I believe his problem is the same as others in that sarcasim and humour dont carry well on message boards,as you can not judge the persons expression.
Only Ted can decide if Jigs is allowed back or not as its his site.The events of the other day (Podie i'm amazed you missed them)left Ted with no option,but i dont believe all "blame" should rest with one person a few things have happened here recently and its my belief Jigs just inflamed the situation

I disagree, there were a lot of different reasons and that which you have stated above was not one of them. Ted is not going to ban someone just because they disagree with another PHer.
Lets please stop apportioning blame, its not helping anyone
jigs seemed to me just to offer a different opinion ,,,Personally jigs reminded me of one of the Gorgonites from the Small Soldiers film. He leapt about out of control uttering complete gibberish and getting on everyone's nerves, but he never actually hurt anyone.
Anyway, reading jigs' posts got on my nerves, but who's to say my posts haven't got on anyone else's nerves. It seems a bit Big Brother to ban him, surely asking him to make sensible contributions would be a slightly more mature and conciliatory approach.
I'd let him back in, but it's not my site, and I think actually requesting he was banned is a pretty pitiful really.

OK - spent sometime looking at some of the threads and still cannot find anything that bad. The poor guy only expressed his opinion.
I have often expressed my opinion - I have never driven either the Griffith or the Tamora and probably never will due to arthritis but I prefer the Griffith on its sound and its looks. Sorry speed doesnt always matter.
