I think there were 500 plus a waiting list (supposedly) but quiet a few have cancelled over the last 3 years.

In hindsight, they opened it up for deposits 12-18 months too early. Had they waited until then, with the factory almost a done deal, they’d have offloaded a 1000 slots on the spot, and all this nonsense that’s going on now would be irrelevant.

Maybe they needed the deposits either as cash or as an indicator that anyone would buy it when negotiating with the welsh government or whoever.
