Guys,
For various reasons I'm looking at adding the following to my Chimaera :-
JVC KD-SH9101 Tuner (MP3 & WMA)
JVC CH-X1500 MP3 Changer
JVC KT-DB1000 DAB Receiver
However my question regards the DAB receiver - in that everybody is telling me that this will need an external aerial.
I've searched around the forums and found lots of people have DAB but not much on where they've managed to locate the aerial. I don't want to ruin the car with an external one but am wondering what the options are re internal (e.g. boot mounted)?
Any comments re the other gear appreciated as well...

I have the JVC KH707(the one below no MP3) and the slightly older 1500 receiver in the T350. I have mounted the aerial in the rear void in the car so the thing is totaly hidden. The reception isn't too bad and I'm quite happy with it however it is not as good as if it were mounted externally.
If you do lose DAB reception the sound just stops...you get perfect quality then none. I did play with an amplified glass mount aerial on the inside of the screen but at £90 I couldn't see much improvement.
The press car has if on the roof!!
Overall DAB is fantastic the choice of stations is great and I've found Core digital which means I get radio 1 like music but with no Sara Cox. Thats got to be worth a few hundred quid.

My aerial is just shoved behind the CD changer in the boot of the Griff. Good when I'm going to work and back, but not ideal on long journeys. I've considered bringing the aerial through and fixing it inside the cabin between the boot vents behind the seat, or fixing it onto the boot lid Tuscan stylee - let's face it, it doesn't spoil them!
