Registration no. '10 TVR'........ is it worth it?

If my source is correct, I may have the opportunity to purchase the registration '10 TVR' from a friendly dealer near my parents in Bath (non TVR) which would look lovely on the Chim. I am waiting for confirmation of the details / price when they are back in tomorrow but if this is true as I hope it is, what do you expect it will cost me? I have spotted others with xxx TVR (non-year specific) between £1500-5000?
Non year specific plates are naturally worth a good bit more. I would imagine that IF the cost is in the range you mention, it would we at the top end of the scale. Here are a few online comparisons for you:
