"warning 120 oC" flashed up on my tuscan yesterday, followed by steam from the bonnet and consumption of all the coolant! The problem being the fans never cut in, WHY?? Is there a simple check i can do at home, like changing a fuse or something or is it (as ever) a dealer job?! Can anyone shed any light???

Wouldnt think its a fuse as each fan has its own individual one. I had opposite prob in that one of mine wouldnt switch off so I had to remove fuse until dealer sorted it. I was told that water dripping onto sensor caused my prob, so maybe with you its worked opposite. If you need to check fuses and dont know location, just email me and I will check in manual.

The fans are controlled by the ECU on the Tuscan so unless it’s a fuse which is located on the driver’s side under the dashboard then it’s a dealer job.
