I have just noticed that my warranty insurance with Warranty Holdings is just about to expire.
I have the highest level of security available, at present and have not made a single claim over the 3 years that I have owned my car, a 1999 Cerbera 4.5.
When I enquired about the premium.....I was advised to sit down......it was going to be £325.00 more expensive!!!!!
When I enquired why.....they informed me that this was just the price I was going to have to pay!!!!!

The questions I have are.......is the premium hike up going to be worth it in the long run?

Are there any other warranty companies out there worth considering?

Is there any point going for the lower £1000 claim limit....this was suggested by WH as an alternative.....

The premium I was quoted to maintain my TVR Spirit Total warranty was £1225.00 for a 2 year period.

Any thoughts or advice would really be welcome

Many thanks

Leszek.

There's been a lot on this subject before - try a search in the PH archives. My personal view is to keep the money in the building society, then if your car doesn't go pop, you win... but you have to decide how lucky you/the car feels.
