Just had the Chimaera waxoiled (and major service and MOT pass - good work Offords!) and wondered how often this should be carried out.

Depends how many miles you do in it in bad weather. The more often it's used in bad weather, the quicker you'll get it washed off. I check the chassis every spring anyway (as does the dealer at every service), but just keep an eye on it & see when it looks like it needs doing... On "normal" cars, the stuff lasts YEARS !

I had my chassis waxoiled over a year ago and decided to redo the outriggers recently with Waxoil Underbody stuff. When I cleaned off the outriggers, I noticed that there were still covered in a coat of waxoil underneat a coat of dust and dirt. Underneath the waxoil, the outriggers were almost perfect with only the triangular bracing plates showing signs of rust (and I think they were like that before the first coat of waxoil).

I use my Griff every day in dry, wet, wind and I live next to the sea.
