For nigh on a year now, I have been visiting PH to enjoy the community spirit like nowhere else I have found on the internet. (I was originally A 7USC for those of you that are interested..)

It is clear to me that PetrolTed is the fearless leader of the PH clan, but I was wondering what the whole story is?

Is this a classic "from backroom to worldwide regard" story that I am guessing it is...? Please, all of you long termers add your 10p's worth! (prize for the funniest posts!)

I saw the legend that is Ted at Pistonfest and I've gotta say, he's a lot younger than I'd imagined!!

once upon a time there was a site called Petrol Heads that featured a photo gallery of things that TVRs had crashed into (mainly mercy killings of Escort XR3i's) ... all in the worst possible taste ... but it made me laugh

Mr Ted ran a TVR e-group a few years ago (I think it was him, anyway) and I guess it developed from that.

That was the TVRCC eGroup. I didn't run it I just voluteered as a moderator for it. PH did start as a hobby (but at the back of my mind )

Ha ha - he's a lot older than he looks!

It was actually his brother Dave who started it all, but Ted took over when Dave had an accident with a tanker full of Guinness. He fell in, but managed to drink enough of it not to drown (about half of the tanker). However after climbing out he slipped on a pie (the spare one he keeps in his back pocket) and banged his head. He hasn't been the same since.

I believe ted is really Chris Morris. The bloke with the S that turns up to shows and stuff is an actor, in fact he used to do some of the brass eye stuff.

Not alot of people know that though....
