Imagine the scenario if you will:

Arrived home last night... lovely warm sunny evening.... wife going over to a girly evening at a friends house half an hour drive away.

Now, for various reasons Vicki has been using one of her works vans for the past couple of days... so when I pull up in the Griff, no problem, roof is already down and ready to go... what more could a girl ask for... bright red sports car, and a husband who positively encourages her to drive it... (come on guys, slim, tanned, blonde in a bright red sports car, you know it makes sense!! )

What does she do... takes the bl**dy VW van!!!!!!

Excuses ranged from - cant drive it in my flip flops, to what if I have to put the roof on!

If any of you ladies out there ever meet my missus, can you PLEASE try and show her the light... I give up

I seem to have the exact opposite issue!

She cant stay out of it.

Though it must be amusing seeing a woman 8 months and 3 weeks pregnant getting out of a TVR!

It's even more amusing being a full 9 months pregnant and getting into the TVR.

Especially into the driving seat.

I must admit I quite like that fact that MsMadasahatter doesn't drive it often. Means that I get to drive it most of the time

She pulled into the Shell garage in Windsor the other day for an Opti fix. Three RAC men looked over at her and almost fell over when she got out of the car!

How are things, BTW? Is a Cerbie looming ever closer yet??

I gather unborn babies act as a hot water bottle, so they say... But look on the bright side. At least it's nice and quiet chez Plotloss for now!!

Good luck tonight!

Nooooooooooooo problem.

Got rid of the wife, kept the TVR.

Me Julie has driven it once (blonde, legs, nice ar.... where was I? Oh yes...), not much danger of pregnancy... now THAT is a result!

Can't keep my wife out of the car. She even tries to stop ME from driving it so she can.

Only thing we argue about now!!! Oh and what CD to play, mind you V8 soundtrack never fails.

G/F uses the excuse about gettin the dog in, sand and mud on the carpets, cringes with her bad back, remind me that I will need to drive home, and then we take the Pug instead. Car is ending up as a commuter.

What with the chat about pregnant ladies driving Tivs I got to wondering whether prolonged exposure will have an effect on the unborn?

Maybe they will be drawn to the soothing rumble of a V8 in later life?

Don't know about in later life... SBaby's favourite pastime at the moment is watching motor racing on TV, and he cries when we transport him in the Volvo but looks around enthusiastically when he's in the Cerbie. A born petrolhead if ever I saw one!!

That happened to us too. Only one solution - do what we did, and buy one each!
