Going to Goodwood in my Griff on Sunday and will need to refuel a couple of times probably. I always use Optimax so I wondered if any of you good people know if there are any Shell garages en route.

From Norwich A11, A14 round Cambridge, M11, M25 past Dartford, M23 then across to Goodwood on A23 and A272.

I've looked on Shell website without much luck.

Cheers,

Neil

Hi Neil,

I`m sure I have gone on the Shell site in the past, keyed in relevant towns along the way and maps have come up showing shell garages which you then click on for more details such as if that garage does optimax - may be wrong!!

So you`re going to Goodwood via Dartford crossing on a Sunday are you! best check that coolant

I must remember Goodwood next year.

Had a look for you - www.shell.co.uk then click on "Shell for motorists" in the left menu and this takes you to a search engine which offers maps etc.

Have a good one - and I`m not laughing too much about the Dartford crossing as we will have to cross there in a couple of weeks for the World Superbikes at Brands Hatch!!

Thanks all,

Had another look at site and its better to look up towns than to look up a route it seems.

Ian, we should hit Dartford Crossing about 05.30 Sunday so not expecting too many probs!

Should be a good run we will have 2 Griffs, Lotus Esprit V8, Honda S2000 a Porsche 9?? and a motorbike!! in convoy.

Can't wait.........

Sounds the business Neil. We are off horse riding Sunday which of course is far better than seeing all those oily, noisy cars and bikes

The brother in laws griff is all sorted now then?

The Dartford crossing? It`ll get you one way!!Best advice for coming home is via Wales!!

Useful site, I have been touring the Shell garages in the Retford area looking for Optimax, when I could have done it from my desk!!

I wouldn't miss the Dartford Tunnel for the world, especially in convoy - the Griffs will drown the others out me thinks!

Brother in laws Griff is sorted and will be run in on the trip on Sunday. TVR Power worked their magic on his engine so he's a happy bunny again!

Of course - its the tunnel coming back isn`t it!!

My mate with the 5 litre Chim down there says the best technique is to enter the tunnel quite slowly holding the traffic up behind a little and then give it some "welly" for full dolby surround!

2 Griffs equals 2 lanes of course!!
