pressure of aircon system??

I think I have found a small hole in one of my aircon pipes, before I get it regassed I'd like to sort the hole. Is this something I can sort using a heavy duty puncture repair kit or will I have to cut the pipe and join it with a brass union?

Cut the pipe and join it or replace the pipe.
