Got a P6B V8 in the Land Rover but it has SD1 inlet manifold and rocker gaskets, plus 2 SU's (both from an SD1).
Would this thermostat fit as I don't believe mine is functioning:

They are all the same,just make sure if it has a wiggle pin in it,its at the top when its fitted.

The correct thermostat for a TVR has a larger bore centre for better water flow. The standard RV8 one that you get from a motor factor has a smaller bore but still works.

As Pete says but be aware the bigger bore one might not fit the earlier housing (the Tiv housings have an up and to the near-side outlet)

Yep the 74 & 82 degree Wahler/TVR stat fits just put one in my brothers 3.5 P6 as a precaution

Thanks for the help. Just realised i'd got 2 x 74 Wahlers for the Tivs but not yet fitted so I'm ordering an 82 for the LR. Coolant pipes are hard so I need to find out what causing it but given everything else I'm finding not confident in the condition of the stat, especially with all the blue gunk around the housing so I'll change it and then check the water pump and hoses.
