Hi folks,

We are trying to set up a new TVRCC region for North Staffordshire and south Cheshire, we currently are part of the Staffs & Shropshire region which covers an enormous area and this is basically the issue. Most of the meets are Shropshire based and some times for an hours natter or a bacon butty (can I add, with excellent company though), it can be 100 miles or so round trip.

We all like a run out in our cars after all that is why we bought them but a whole day out away from the other half does tend to generate a sore ear or a very poor tea (maybe dinner where you come from)! hence us trying to start a smaller geographical area. The TVRCC have been supportive and will bring this up at the next commitee meeting on the 16th of September, after we have got together and got our ducks in a row.

We have approx 16 members who are interested, think this is a good idea and all enthuisasts for the TVR marque, for example we attended the Donnington Historic Festival a couple of months ago and had an amazing day including three laps of the track. We also do quite a few car shows, and most of the TVRCC days like the Back home>New Home event. We are a friendly and welcoming bunch too!

There must be more of you out there in the areas mentioned (members or potential members or neither) ? Please email me if your'e interested or want more info about whats going on and if you want adding to the emails we send out about meets etc. jasonleese@sky.com

We are holding a meeting on the 13th of September at The Plough Inn, Leek Road, Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ST9 9BE @ 8pm (Ironically where the Staffs & Shrops used to meet) to discuss and have a vote for a Regional Organiser and also a deputy RO, Ian Millington has agreed to be RO and I (Jason Leese) have volunteered my services to be deputy (of course votes dependant). The more the merrier at the meeting so please come along and support us and the TVR brand for the area.

Hope to see you there,

Jase.

I think this is a great idea Jase, I would love to attend every meeting but the area is so vast it ends up being just a couple in its current form. I'll be there to give my support

Can I just say, what a fantastic turnout for the meeting tonight! Thank you all for coming (18 in all) plus the support by email of those of you who couldn't come due to other commitments etc...........
Once finalised at the TVRCC committee meeting, we will be formulating a plan for many great meets/events (suggestions for meets/shows/runs out greatly appreciated and welcomed) in the local area(s)

Everyone has given cotact details so all will be kept informed and I am certain that this will encourage more Tiv's out onto the tarmac where they belong.

Once again thanks for the support,

Jase & Ian.

It's good to see a more realistic 'Staffs' meet; I used to go to the meets around 10 years ago when they used to meet at a pub in Stone which was just about right for me (circa 30 mins drive). Unfortunately the new meet is a 2 hour round trip on a 'school night', so still out of my reach. Have fun, though smile

Hi Lee, this was only the initial meeting to have a vote to form a new region and not the new meeting place. Once all has been sorted we will be sorting out meeting venues so please keep any ideas you have coming in to us :-)

Ian & Jase, good to see such a good turnout - bodes well for the future, especially with Richard Sails endorsement.

I think High Peak and North Staffs could have some good synergy.

Richard.
