Str8six and the TVR car club at the Excel Classic car show
Discussion
Yes the TVRCC had a stand this year for the first time manned over the 5 days if you include set up, 30 volunteer Club members from 5 different regions rotated some for one day and some more and what a great team they where.
Although many did not know each other by the end of the day great friendships where made and regional visits planned and promised.
Plus a fantastic opportunity to share the love they have for the cars and the Club that has represented the Marque for over 50 years.
We had Martin Lilley down on the Saturday where everyone was invited to join us for a beer and a piece of cake to celebrate 40 years of open top TVRs as the 3000s which was launched in 1978 was the first production convertible TVR ever made.
The Theme for the show was topless TVR motoring over the years with some of the open top models through the years.
Yes a number of models missing and a wedge and a later V8S would have been nice but the stand was small and the colors we had just made for a stunning stand.
We also had the TVR Trident Prototype in the live show which was loaned to the show by a great Club member so it could be driven each day in the live display.
Everyone love it and thought it was beautiful which is exactly what the motoring press described it as when it was launched in 1964 at the show.
Great cars great Club and Amazing members is all i can add.
Thanks to them for all for there hard work.
