Hey, just want to hear your thoughts / experiences with TVR Specialists in Warwickshire / West Midlands area for servicing and other general works etc, typical costs, serviced received etc...

I am just trying to identify the right people to use whom I know will look after my car and me, as well as value for money.

Your comments and experiences of good specialists would be greatly appreciated, as well as some indications of some typical costs.

Thanks

Where abouts are you?
Warwickshire way & you'll prob get pointed towards Power.

If you're more West Midlands way I would recommend Top Gear Automotive.Martins prices are very competitive,& an honest bloke. He is having an open day this Sunday as it happens. He looks after quite a few of the Warwick/West Mids & Staffs TVRCC members cars.

Hi Chris,

As Dave says there are a couple of places depends what you want and to some extent where you as to what works for you ...

Not sure where you live and haven't spotted your car (if it is the Griffith on your profile) at wwm tvrcc meets...always welcome to come along for a chat mate...

I have only had my Griff since Aug 2012, with the weather being rubbish and some issues, causing a return visit to the garage brought from and also Powers for some emergency repairs, I haven't had much time out and therefore I wanted to get feedback from you guys.

I live outside Coventry in a small town, but work in Brum and don't mind sending or driving my car to a good specialist as and when needed if I can't do it or haven't the time due to work.

I haven't had chance to go o local TVR meetings in Meridan due to my work, which can involve quite bit of travel. I have booked to go to the Growl Weekend Saturday and Sunday so hope to meet people there and get good advice there too. Also thought this would be a good place to get people's thoughts and experiences.

Hi,
I'd suggest David Gerald TVR in Redditch-always been more than helpful as regards to all things TVR..

Ive always used Martin at Top Gear Automotive in Wolverhampton. Excellent service, prices and knowledge. I had a chimp for 7 years which was serviced by Martin and it never put a foot wrong. Would never go anywhere else.

TVR Power or Powers Performance as they are now known in Bedworth just outside Coventry have looked after my Cerb for the past 8 years.

Like Russell, it's a fair distance for me too but I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

My personal opinion is to approach David Gerald with caution.

I can vouch for Central TVR & Top Gear and indeed TVR Power from experiences over 8 past years

Previously Autotune TVR. He has moved a couple of times recently due to problems with premises but seems to have a good set up now.

No longer advertises as exclusive TVR as he is trying to build up other business e.g. farmers Land Rovers over the winter when TVR business is typically slow.

Always done a good job for me.

Have they moved from Longford then? Used to love listening to the drag bikes when I lived across the road, back when they were NCK Racing.

Hi

Just bought another Chim after selling the first in late 2010. Further to the issue of servicing or repairs I live 7 miles South east of Leamington Spa, where would you recommend I take it as it definitely needs a service!

Couldn't agree with the above more! I drive from Milton Keynes to get there and the lads are fab. Sorted my dads Cerb out there, then recently got my own and from now on that's where it will be looked after! Massive recommendation from me!
