Thanks Dodsy. There are infact two links to buying online - one does not work and is a different screen to the one you have posted. I found the screen you have shown and all is fine. ThanksAntony

The BUY NOW button is dead, but the text above is live.

Best to ring Ali at the office to join.
There was a thread on this a while back and apparently the website was going through some changes at the time, but to be honest even when I joined back in 2010, I still found it flakey as a method.
They really should sort it out.
The whole ethos of the TVRCC is "keep it original, however poorly it suits the purpose".There was a thread on this a while back and apparently the website was going through some changes at the time, but to be honest even when I joined back in 2010, I still found it flakey as a method.

That image you posted looks like the old site so that will be dead, you must have found the old shop links.

No its from the current shop - follow your link, click 'New Members' and you get the image I posted. Just tried it again, its stil the same, click the image it works but the 'buy now' button does nothing. This is the current shop link CLICKY
ETA I can see the problem , if I hover over the image then I can see the details of the next link (it appears at the bottom of the chrome screen) , but hover over the 'buy now' button and there are no link details. So my spidey sense tells me that there is a clickable link attached to the image but the 'buy now' button is a seperate object that is overlaid in front of the image but they forgot to add the link to that object.

If you click the image it takes you to another screen.
If you click the "buy now" it adds it to your shopping bag and, on internet explorer, you get a little popup on the r/h bottom of the screen which shows it's been added and gives you the option of opening the bag.
Just tried it on Chrome and it does the same as IE.

It also places a small green tick on the product as well as Paul says a small pop-up with a shopping bag appearing in the bottom RH corner you click on that and that takes you to checkout. If you click the "buy now" it adds it to your shopping bag and, on internet explorer, you get a little popup on the r/h bottom of the screen which shows it's been added and gives you the option of opening the bag.

Something isn't broken just because it doesn't do what you 'think' it should do.
A Membership renewal is £47.50 not the same as a new membership, either way still less than one full tank of petrol

Its more about the experience of using it rather than what I think it should do , its a silly little thing not worth really worrying about but if its not clear what its doing then I'd say its not working in a user friendly way thats all.Message Board | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
