Re passenger footwell fuse,
I've not had any trouble with this fuse but during fault finding I found it necessary to remove this fuse a few times.
Anyone think that one of these may be useful? especially as its re settable, only problem I can see is if you have a passenger who accidently kicks it killing power.
But I could put a box over it.

Also with the standard blade type fuses, they are available as resettable.
Obviously they wouldn't cure the fault but saves time struggling to fit another.

They are actually miniature circuit breakers and, because they are significantly more expensive than fuses, are normally only fitted in high value vehicles (and military equipment).
Another, slightly cheaper, alternative is the 'indicating fuse'. This is a fuse that is fitted with an led across the 'terminals' so that it lights up when the fuse has blown. Definitely saves scrabbling around in the passenger footwell trying to read fuse numbers in the dark.......

Both seem pretty darn good ideas seeing what is spent on other parts of the car.

I changed all mine to the indicator type, I've only had one blow since but it glowed like a beacon in the abyss of the footwell.
No reason why the circuit breaker ones shouldn't work, only downside being cost I guess.

Yes the blade type are expensive but I was only thinking of these for fuel pump, fans lights.
