Recommendations and revues

I understand people who do want to recommend various companies for services who do a fabulous service sometimes above and beyond the call of duty which is fair enough but when you do get average, poor, or even shoddy service with the 'renowned' garages it is discouraged by PH to give an honest record of your experience with them.
I had a recent experience with a reputed specialist that was poor to say the least, 'shoddy and negligent' were the expressions the owner agreed with me and paid for remedial/exploratory work to be carried out closer to home at another specialist.
They were highly recommended by the previous owner of my car, were the dearest but I felt my car 'deserved' it.

I would certainly not use them again, nor could I recommend them but it is discouraged to name them on here.
Surely all these companies should take the rough with the smooth somehow or whats the point of only giving positive reviews?
I realise there may be a legal issue but Trip Advisor manages it and relies on the individual to gauge the relevance or fairness of the comments.

I am not a user or visitor myself but I believe that Facebook has the 'facility' you would like.
