I was using Pix resizer to reduce picture sizes,a free down load , it is now riddled with adds and pop ups.What free down load do you recommend for resizing pictures please ?

You can reduce picture size in MS Paint if you are using a windows pc... if you reduce the horizontal and vertical by same percentage then pic keeps shape.

Geoff thanks I was looking to resize a folder of pictures at a time.

Picasa does it.

Select the photos, then File, Export ... you get the option to specify destination, size, quality etc

I use BatchImageResizer. Available for free download all over the internet. Limitations on the free version of course - IIRC, only allows about six images at a time, but I've never needed to do more than that.

Paint.Net for me. Certainly does resizing but far more too and opensource so free. You'll also need the Bulk Image Processor plugin for batch processing.
