TVRCC @ Cadwell Park 2014 Photos (image heavy)
Discussion
I had a fantastic day at Cadwell yesterday. Thanks to Ian and Bernie for once again doing a sterling job of organising and making sure the day came off. Let's hope there's enough support within the club to make it happen again next year.
Here's a selection of the photos I took between sessions. All the on-track ones are from the beginner and experienced groups - I was in the inters and so couldn't man the camera, obviously.
PM me if you'd like a copy of any of these. I had the camera on burst mode so chances are I have a few additional versions of more or less the same shot from just before/just after and I'm happy to give copies of the whole burst.
ETA: I'd be extremely grateful if anyone got any decent shots of my car on track and would be good enough to share - I was in the blue Tuscan Convertible. There were plenty of cameras knocking about so fingers crossed

Excellent photo record of the day!!
+1 for thanks to Bernie and everyone who was involved in the organisation of the day. Really enjoyable day, very relaxed atmosphere, excellent (courtious) standard of driving, no red flags all day (?) and there weren't any red or yellow flags in the red group....
Hey - and the sun even shone!!!!!
Sorry to other cars in the red group if got in anyone's way (think it was Roly's devious idea to get shot of me out of the inter / yellow group as he signed me up for the red when he filled in the paperwork, the devious little b$gger...).
Here's my standard Eagle road tyres after a "spirited" session...... (all four looked like this!!):

Ours were the same,
, Can tell that we could still do with more neg camber on the outside wheel at the front as the inside edge wasn't scrubbed as much as the outside.OMG what a set of photos!! I'm just sorry I didn't have a decent camera!
For more than 10 years this has been my favourite car event of the year. I've been lucky enough to do a few different track days but very little comes close.
It's a special event and offers the opportunity to really use our cars without speed bumps, pot holes, traffic lights, traffic jambs speed cameras etc etc etc... It's getting harder and harder out there!!
It's not a typical track day, it's relaxed and curtious, with well mannered, like minded individuals most with similar cars and the split between novice, intermediate and 'expert' works really well. Open pit lane events can be intimidating for those dipping their toe in for the first time.
This was my first track day after owning an S2 for only a month and although I've had to move on to other things (for now!) I was made so welcome I just keep coming back.
There has been some debate about the point of these cars and I would urge you to support this event. You don't need to drive yours like a race car! just enjoy it for what it is a capable british sports car. There are very few safer places to enjoy them!
Thanks to all the organisers for putting this on and I for one look forward to doing it all again next year!!

Great set of pictures which leaves me with two questions, did Grahams Cerbera catch Grahams RS6???
Is that tyre smoke or concrete dust coming of the back of Shorts car?
Would of loved to of been there but sadly the day after modern classics @ Brands, thats two years running it's clashed with racing and i do so love Cadwell!
Glad you got some decent weather.

Smashing pictures ,did you take any of a grey Chimaera ?
I'm afraid not Daren. Were you in the intermediate group? If so I didn't get any of that lot as I was on track with them.7 TVR said:

Not by the end of that particular session, but they were pretty close every time they passed. To be fair, Cadwell's a narrow track and that RS6 is massive!

It was fun watching Graham hussle the Audi from close quarters.... shortly before it bu$$ered off into the distance...!
Watching it get pitched into a corner directly infront of me, sideways, I got totally distracted and almost forgot that I needed to drive round the corner myself!!!

Having been a passenger in Grahams RS6 around a very wet Oulton Park i can definitely vouch for both the car and the drivers ability! Graham was humbling race prepped Evo's in the wet much to the drivers annoyance Watching it get pitched into a corner directly infront of me, sideways, I got totally distracted and almost forgot that I needed to drive round the corner myself!!!
